"Mik Godley - artist": Documentary by David Leicester at Confetti Institute (circa 2004)

"A documentary about Mik Godley a professional artist based in Nottingham. This film was produced by David Leicester whilst studying media at The Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in Nottingham."

This was filmed close to the beginning of the project Considering Silesia (around 2004 I think) and therefore shows examples of previous work in the studio

Nice to meet you Mik. I have looked through your slides twice, and #51 seems to generate a comfortable feeling within me. A connection. Thanks.

Hi Mik
Interesting video, the figures have gone but not the idea of people within landscape.
There is a sense of place, of past events, of untold stories, secrets and lies.

Mik ,I was most interested in this honest and informative video, made at a point where your work was changing direction. I think that it raises many points which artists struggle with everyday, in particular, especially in the climate of conceptual art, to be strong enough to keep painting (as a verb) and dealing with the resulting pieces which then tend to be called 'the painting' (noun). It is this which I deal with every day. It would be amazing to make one now as you have moved into and maybe even beyond the Considering Silesia project.
Thank you for posting this video
