A field study test of the iPad using the app Brushes - this time during the art-school trip to Manhattan in January 2011, escaping the rain and snow to dry off in a coffee shop, drink a hot mocha and sketch from the window across the street for an hour. Quite civilised really :)

Oh, and the sounds, Marty, are from a video I took outside of the Flat Iron Building a bit further south of this location in New York

Thanks Marty, Daniel and Ralph - I must admit I'm having a lot of fun with this iPad, and realise that I've only scratched the surface - there's so much more to find out about, so many more possibilities - and these "apps" keep developing all the time, so every other week it seems there are even more possibilities - if you can only hope to keep up with them all!

I've lot's of plans, guys, if there are enough hours in the day :)

Great app mike I also love the drawings you are making with the brushes app, who said technology cant be intuitive I also think the playback facility is an excellent feature makes me want to go out and buy an iPad / iPhone..... great piece of kit in the hands of an artist like yourself.

Good going, Mik. I'd love to hear sounds from the coffee shop while you were drawing. What are the sounds at the beginning and end?
