Within three minutes we watch silently an elderly couple walk slowly through a forest dipped in reds and pink. As they come closer their image dissolves into the landscape and we are left with the memory of their presence and the long path ahead of us.
No sound interferes with the image of old age, fragility and the finality of human life. But there lies tenderness within the unspoken presence of two people who seem to have supported each other throughout a long track. The silence transports us into our own memories and of loss, projects our own life into the void.
A 1st version of this was part of an international collaboration project, ECVP Vol 3.
