Sorry didn't respond earlier bit busy just like an artist. Thank you for your much appreciated comments. My colour artwork is to shine a positive light of joy, spirit and evergy through this world of doom and gloom. Only us artists can show the real world. There is a lot of a passion, narrative, emotion, politics in your artwork. It has this strongness within vivid imagary some great human feelings. Naturalness truth and honesty. You're right we are fortunate here. But Liverpool hasn't many opportunites for artists compared to London which is too expensive to live and to find a gallery interested. Many galleries have their own artists.
I have always tried to create my artwork from my own money and not to make it for protit just for interest and to release some of my energy.
I feel some opportunies are coming. Happy times. regards George
Pleased to meet you. My name is George Lund (known as the Funkadelic Chicken my alta ego) colourist artist and performance artist from Liverpool UK. Joined Artreview to forge friendships, contacts links with artists and organisations. Good to share the experience of art through dialogue and images. Hope you don't mind my comments. From one colourist to another. Great unique spectrum of diverse colouri/suject matter,( figurative and abstract artwork etc). I can see the Matisse also Gaugain influence in your artwork but it has it's own charm and beauty. The colours have vibrancy and contrast superbly. Is the printmaking lino, woodcuts or silkscreen?
Would be an honour for your views and comments on my artwork.Thank you. My website:www.lundart.co.uk
Keep on with the spirit and energy
Peace, success, happiness and health. Take care regards George
