Six murals by Otto Dix discovered

Six murals by Otto Dix have been discovered, Der Spiegel reports. The works were found by builders renovating the German painter's former home in the German city of Hemmenhofen, after they removed a bookshelf that dominated a wall in the cellar. The murals depict a monster, whose appendages each play a different instrument in a jazz band; figures from the local traditional carnival festival; and scenes from the 1958 movie The Horse's Mouth, in which Alec Guinness plays a painter.
