I ask me, what do I think about my paintings?

Self, what do I think about my paintings? Where have they come from, where are they going?
So I'll just ramble in my answer, not like anyone's reading this, are they? anyone?
So there's a thing in my work with the scribble. I think I've seen some incredible perfection in scribbles so I've done them in various ways for years, about 10 years. I do realistic forms, heads. Faces I think are one of the hardest things to do in art because we recognize so precisely faces we see. So this balances with the letting go, scribbly time. Scribble scrabble.
I'm working on this balance in my work, two directions that motivate me. The abandon, the freedom, automaton, formations of squiggles, accidents, orchestration, clashing like cymbals and sweeping like violins into smooth rhythm. I go on tangents and I believe you have to just let those tangents ride away with you sometimes in artwork.
I should go paint now.
