How art rises in value? What would be a good investment?
Yes, prints are affordable but prints are used as decoration and not as investment. A signed limited edition has not increased much and even antique prints are very difficult to reach the price paid. More money is spent elsewhere.
Commodities such as jewellery, gold or diamonds have not increased in value at the same rate as some artists. Then again some artists works are being collected as investment. It is difficult to see who's work will stand the test of time as art investment is a long-run race.
