START completes three weeks of summer school in Jordan

START have completed three weeks of working with SOS, UNRWA and the

Madrasiti programme in Jordan to offer 400 orphanned and refugee

children an

Art summer school and outings.

It was an outstanding time of seeing the children express their ideas,

have fun, and really grow to trust the artists and their own talents.

START in ART Dubai 2009

START had a brilliant prescence at Art Dubai 2009 with over 300

children joining workshops on-site with artists Sacha Jafri and Elhum

Shakerifar. Children were able to make three 6ft paintings and their

own documentary of the fair.

The START stand itself was a 15foot chalk board that had visitors busy

adding their own impromptu art works at the fair and thanks to this

for Barclays sponsorship and the concept from designer Sven Mueller.

START a magical Art education programme

Heya loving people!

I'm posting this note to all of you, caring Artists and strangers, to introduce START as it has been spreading its sunshine, colors and love in the middle east.

START is a non-profit art education programme that allows young children with limited access to visual arts in the Middle East, to enjoy workshops with artists, designers and architects in their community.
