An admirer of Dali's surrealism and De Chirico, Warhol's Pop Art and
Haring, Banksy's Urban Art, was inspired to take his vocation
as an artist by the name of Punk Marciano. "Punk" for being independent
rebellious, loner. "Martian" as he felt sometimes as an outsider on
Earth and its new model of modern life.
Artist adept of "do it yourself", since the time he drew zines,
among the youth wanting to sell, not always successfully, his copies.
Always self-taught, left his economics course at UFRJ,
in which he noted, at the Academic Centre Newspaper, to be more talented
designing the cartoons of the tabloid than answering for the proposed economic questions
by his until today economic friends.
"The suffocation of everyday life, the city in general, on one hand, and
Internetica monotony of social life, on the other hand, forces us to create small
universes to escape inside the computer itself and somehow the very
life, whether through social networks, applications, or mini-games, in my case, this trail
was revealed in the contrasting Universe of Punk Marciano. "
And so back and forth in the midst of the gray claustrophobia in city comes
the need to create worlds that are less closed and aggressive, less
dull, lifeless, but so are freer, broader, more peaceful and
safe, bright colors and contrasting that transcend the commonplace of
visual monotony of the city, which is a mini revolution catalytic visual
to the eye of the viewer already so stressed by urban rush of everyday life.
Come in, disarm yourself, enjoy this time and blow up the negative side of
world and the like, we share a pause in the chaos that summarizes the life
urban, then 15 posters subvertores the eyeball, for windows 15
Marciano Punk peaceful soul.
