About my artwork
Curated: Edge of Extinction, a multi media monochrome exhibition. His practice revolves around the paradox of reality versus realism, the ambiguity and ubiquity of the photographic image while concentrating on the marginal question of emotive content, affect and effect intrinsic to visual expression. Influences range from Cimabue, Masaccio and Rembrandt to Nadar, Man Ray and Sigmar Polke, also encompassing the literary opus of Rabelais, Dante, Nietzsche, Jung, Kafka, Sartre, Brecht, and Sebald amongst others. Theatre and cinema as well as Memento Mori, Mystery plays, medieval manuscripts, Romanesque imagery, tapestry and stain glass imagery have nourished his research. These are intertwined with the fabric of contemporary visual linguistics and other areas of research such as quantum physics. Also involved with stop motion project, Daimon Antarctica through the Eye Glass and Anthropofungus Conception screened at the Vibe Gallery as well as a performance, collaborative piece Twitterview. One of his aims is, to critique the neo-post modern Deleuzian manifesto by turning the map into the territory. Currently working on an installation/performance piece: Ghosting the Ghost and as a host curator/press agent at the Doomed Gallery, Dalston.
Artists I like
Hieronymus Bosch, Rembrandt, Titian, Giotto, Masaccio, Raphael, Vermeer, Franz Hals, Durer, Brugel...

Photomorphosis: Live photography

“Concepts are coined and negotiable values; images are life” (C.G Jung)

Objects lie still; oracles still obscured by the mundane, tilting on the brink of confession. No longer usable by common mortals, they become symbols of a relationship…
