Carnal love letters to the universe. Diasporic visions. Esoteric inamoratas.
Kenna Shapiro uses abstract forms to articulate the human experience when words do not suffice. To Shapiro, the sensuality of the medium is just as important as the image itself. In pursuit of sustainability, works are created using salvaged materials.
Shapiro received her bachelor’s degree in art with a concentration in art history, but her inspiration comes from her travels to eighteen nations across the globe which taught her that art is a universal language. Her work has been featured on PBS television and exhibited throughout North America and Europe.
