FELDEINSAMKEIT TONIGHT THEATRE STAGE STATEMENT

FELDEINSAMKEIT TONIGHT is a system of theatrical performances created by filippos tsitsopoulos where one actor combined with video projection actors creating a video and performance theatre installation .A performance and short theatrical play combined with strange elements and texts from another discipline or another theatrical plays or poetically combined lyrics of songs in order to disorientate the spectator and build a mixed language, where a primal actor voice could live or annulled by other elements . Like a puzzle of variety of theatrical plays some of them invented from the author some other existing, gives the idea of what a person could feel in the house of the artist s father professional theatre actor, that now is no longer live. The concept of overlap texts and song over songs create a distortion reality that was denominated in the Baroque period- of course under other disciplines and concepts - INFERNO DE LO BELLO.
The feldeinsamkeit PROJECT only the video works(CRAZE PROJECT) was included in Jan Hoet TEMPUS ARTI EXHIBITION 2009 in Belgium and as video installation in numerous exhibitions.
Now under the title FELDEINSAMKEIT THE WASTE LAND- EL SASTRE DE LAS MARIPOSAS , we have a new theatre project where the 5 actors on stage, four actors in a video form as a video projection and one in real time, can create a unique spectacle. All the characters in the videos including the actor on stage are designed and performed by the author. The devoted person to art or to madness, to religion or to craziness ,is the subject to create.

The story of Feldeinsamkeit Tonight.
"-A long time ago back in 1993 when my mother died, my father, professional actor , was performing Polonius in Shakespeare s Hamlet in Athens. I must say that this performance was awesome. That man totally destroyed just buried his wife, my mother, at the very same day, dedicates on stage, this performance to her. It was obvious everything on stage was about her.
The big shot was when Polonius had to say , to read the letter of love of his daughter with Hamlet, this amazing "Doubt that the stars are on fire, Doubt sun dot moves, Doubt truth to be a liar But never doubt about my love , Never doubt about my love, never doubt Never doubt about my LOVE, ABOUT MY LOVE, ABOUT MY LOVE!
My father repeated constantly " no doubt about my love". The impression was like he would do it for purpose these words on loop. The other actors on stage stayed astonished, looking each other. The crowd starts clapping without stop, and they had to stop the performance because people clapping hands without understand why all this hysteria as a kind of enormous wave attacking to their nervous system. I couldn't move, Late at the same night, at home told me, -It was for her you know. And continued - And you like Laertes , try , in your life to be honest with yourself and how day follows the night you can't be false to now one. ...

It was obvious he continues to play his role at home, believing or trying to convince himself that the reality we live on, is prolonged to art, and art again is extended in the house and the house as a matter is mixed with the theatre and is prolonged on the stage.
A long later when my father died i decide to see all his videos from his performances to read all his monologues in a kind of CRAZE-MANIA, to understand all my child hood in my house full of theatre and I start working this enormous work of 72 videos that finally i choose 52 from the 55 first selected.
The Number 52 has to do with the years that my father works on the theatre.
I choose one performance of him per year, to work with.
The devoted person to art or to madness, to religion or to craziness ,was the subject to create. A Cathedral of lost feelings or the deep hole in the ground . Cathedral and Hole. I document myself about the soul, having as principal Book “The story of the Soul” by Panagis Lekatsas.
I started, performing Polonius for him. I transform myself and my head with living elements creating a flexible mask with prawns, imitate the red bear of the Danish Polonius . In the old Pacific traditions people thought that men in another life becomes fishes, prawns , calamari, whales, fishes returning to their Habitat the sea, so I transformed myself into a creature able to communicate with my diseased father, dedicate to him this words, the conclusion of a lifetime, a starting point or ending point to his philosophy -and my philosophy too, about life, religion, death and love " Doubt that the stars are on fire To doubt that sun dot moves doubt truth to be a liar But never doubt about my love, Never doubt that I loved you ! Art itself is the reason to create Art!"
