If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
a level 2 Fine Art student at the university of Sunderland. After completing my Foundation Degree at Central Saint Martins (London University of the Arts) I decided to take some time out, in that time I changed specialisms from Jewellery Design to Fine Art.
About my artwork
I enjoy working with the physicality of the paint so alot of my recent work has been abstract. Previously I have made oil nudes. I recently returned to oils and working on non-literal figurative works, encorporating techniques learnt from treating the paint as the subject. My work is now developing toward pure abstraction dealing with the formal qualities of the paint itself.
Artists I like
Callum Innes, Gary Hume, Ian Davenpot, Barnett Newman, Clyfford Still, Jackson Pollock, Monet, Pissaro, Picasso, Rothko, Katy Pratt and Ansel Adams
