About my artwork
Since my childhood I had not the opportunity to work but I liked drawing and the things concerning that art
I started working at the Institute of Fine Arts in Sulaimany where I initiated my route of working and as my preference abiding to progress further.
I never stopped reading and follow up in order not to reside within a conventional framework or functioning. Rejection never disappoints me from working or hinders my way of working. For me, I believe disappointment and hindrance is ignorance and negligence from the activities and progresses that are going around our globalized world.
Within globalization, all the cultures are equally important for functioning and never distinguish to say our culture or others culture while one is working. Hence, I believe rules don’t exist, and staying within a single site is a difficulty for me.
My blissful and happiest moments are the ones that I’m working since I’m free in my thinking and reflections. Consequently, working is the constant action of creating contacts among people produced in a global world. Every theme is equally significant not giving weight and consideration to merely one.

Ok, I think I understand now. You created a kite play with the children and the paper on this site to transform the energy and the memory of what happened there for the children. That's beautiful. Thanks for your explanation. I assume your curatorial work and your artwork is being received well there? With much respect for what you do and a hug of encouragement, S.
Azar: both your Games and Border projects look really interesting! Some lovely conceptual projects in Border. I sent your website link to a colleague who has been doing research on border art projects and to another artist friend whose work is very much in sympathy with many of these projects. Gentle gestures and performances for healing and connection. I'm impressed with the good solid work your group of artists are all doing. Your work with the colored paper is perhaps the one that is least easy to grasp just from the photos...can you explain if the color is a code or what the pieces of paper are doing?
Your english is good, no apology needed. Sorry I can't speak YOUR language. Best, S.
Azar, hi again! So, why are you surprised?
I have been doing some audio and some written work lately and some new explorations but not anything new to put up, I did some new work a few months ago but did not have a camera to record it. I have a camera now but not the work. oh well! the work i have up is not old..?
Can you tell me a bit about your piece "Kolara"? what are the ideas and where is it? It looks new since I last visited your site here.
smiles to you. ;0) sophia.
