I am...
The Whitechapel Gallery was founded in 1901 to bring great art to the people of east London. The Whitechapel Gallery is internationally acclaimed for its exhibitions of modern and contemporary art and its pioneering education and public events programmes.

The Whitechapel Gallery has premiered international artists such as Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Nan Goldin, and provided a showcase for Britain’s most significant artists from Gilbert & George to Lucian Freud, Peter Doig to Mark Wallinger.

The expanded Whitechapel Gallery is now open!

The Whitechapel Gallery has completed an ambitious £13 million expansion, the greatest event in its 100-year history. Following the former Whitechapel Library’s move to new facility, the Whitechapel Gallery acquired the building to restore it and keep it open as a free art gallery all year round.

Almost doubling in size the expanded Whitechapel Gallery includes
• A Collection Gallery offering a chance to see important art collections from around the world
• A Commission Gallery with a brand new art work created specially for the building every year
• An Archive Collection Gallery and Archive Research Room telling the story of the history of the Gallery and the local area over the last 100 years.
• An Education and Research Tower for local schools, community groups and offering courses for all
• A new street facing café and full disabled access to the whole building

Hi, Don't know if you remember me! You were the one who once helped me get onto the Postgrade MFA at Reading Uni back in 1982. Glad you have done so well! with your sculpture and I have been following your art work for a while now and with great interest!

I am on facebook now and currently have been working on some new collages its been a long time since I have done anything with my art work and have done bits here and there but now have decided to make a good go of it again! So.....

Computers and IT are difficult to work with but i'm getting to grips with the idea of showing my work with this method!

Anyway nice leaving a comment for you to read and maybe I will hear from you in the near future, with a return comment!

Reading University 1982-1984. Norman Hayeem. "All those years ago"!  (George Harrison) Good Karma!
