Lapsus is an International call for photographic and video projects curated by the Italian critic Marinella Paderni which invites artists to reflect on how “History of art shows us that many works were born of accidental 'mistakes' which occurred during the execution of a project, the taking of a picture or the recording of a video; such slips or lapsus' often occur without the knowledge of the author, who can use them as a point of strength in the final work.”

Which new visual forms can the idea of 'the end' generate in our particularly turbulent historical moment?
The apocalyptic imagination would finally find its prophesies fulfilled. The Book of Revelations was leaving the page. But of course the end is…

Thank you for the friend request Steven. It reminds me that I must update my entry on this site! More of my work can be seen at www.axisweb.org/artist/julietcheneryrobson
I will also take a look at the Celeste Prize :-)
Dear Steven, thanks for for the friend request which I am more than happy to accept. I quite like this Art Review social site and I frequently buy the magazine. I will post some new work here soon. You could check out a blog of mine paulgneale.blogspot.com The Celeste Prize is an impressive achievement. best wishes, Paul
谢谢您的来访,我不知道你是蔚奖的创始人,我会常关注你的创作话动......
Thanks Steven...I hope you are talking about the photos...Those are mine! The others (paintings and sculpture) are from some Barcelona artists I represent, though I did do the photography for all. My intention, and maybe I messed it up?, was to register here as an on-line Gallery. Maybe you are speaking about Carlos' work, yes he is an impressive person and sculptor...
Hi Steven, thanks for the invite. The celeste site is great, loved last years winners and finalists!
I see. I did not realise that you were the founder of the Celeste Prize. I'm sure you work very hard. Well amidst over 20 exhibitions of my work I have had some successes and some failures. I suppose the only real thing I have done with any real relevance to the 'commercial' artworld would be gaining coverage in Canada's national newspaper for one of my group shows. Maybe after I sell a couple hundred more pieces and have the funds to rebuild my studio I will get more organised about making a portfolio on cd rom to send out to competitions. If you see my name floating around the British art scene in a few years maybe we can connect. In the meantime best of luck with your competition, and if you have time look up a real renegade who has worked entirely outside of the spectrum of commercial and has still somehow found success, Billy Childish, someone I admire greatly. My best, Luke
Are you also submitting work to this competition? I don't usually submit work - I submitted a piece to the BP Portrait Award in 2010, did not make the shortlist, and was then told by three seperate artists that my piece was 3 times more detailed and intense than the person who won. I find competitions kind of a waste of time. I rely on sales to gauge the value of my portfolio. I have over 250 works online if you want to view any one specific style. Do you do any photography? My best, Luke
