If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
A visual artist born in Lisbon, Portugal, living and working in Toronto, Canada. I am a primarily self-taught artist.
About my artwork
I am interested in looking at the inner workings of the human body, challenging art history's tendency to privilege representations of the surface of the body. My paintings are presented in light boxes --a reference to x-ray light boxes and the hidden perspectives of the human body which they reveal. The subject matter itself consists of abstract depictions of human cells.
Artists I like
James Turrell, Bruce Nauman, Anish Kapoor, HC Berg,

that's a pity... I'm leaving in the morning of the 26th!
but don't worry. we'll have other opportunities. I've been going to Toronto every year for the past 3 years. So maybe next year I'll be around again and then you can show me your favorite parts of the city - and your work, which I really like.
Hi Rui. Nice to make your acquaintance! I hAve a friend who teaches at York U. Steve Koven. probably onE of the best piano players in Canada. I like very much your work. Is it possible you can write more literature about your pieces. It is a very detailed subject. Best - Luke :)
