I am...
an ARTist in the moment.
I need to understand many different mediums in order to materialize the nascent creations waiting for and wanting life.
About my artwork
right now, my art is photographing the people, my surroundings, sometimes flora and fauna. right now, the most intriguing people to photograph are those without suspicion and those without fear of showing their true nature. the energy of the moment fascinates me. even though i share these images, they are all really very personal and never expectant that anyone else would find these interesting.... these however, are a reaction of the human condition for the human condition, no matter how mundane ....
Artists I like
so many, but alas, here are a few that move me... Chirico, Chagall, Magritte, Lichtenstein, Joel-Peter Witkin, Jeff Davies (R.I.P), The Coen Brothers, Greenaway, Rudolf, Jarmusch, Wes Anderson, Ron Wood, David Bowie

location: The Commons, Ithaca NY
Invitational for Art in the heart of the city (2007-current)

installation view on The Commons in Ithaca, NY.
this site specific piece was originally designed to be volumetric, however, due to time constraints it remained as a somewhat kinetic sound device if tugged on gently. Someone must have climbed this, which caused it to bend 90 degrees where the square stock support was welded , and thusly, it is now in my sculpture garden.

"Tower of Souls" steel, unfinished
oxy-acetylene cut, ground, filed and mig welded (mostly 10ga.)
Knowing this was going into a public space at ground level, I realized i had to add color for safety reasons. These simple 2D beings, if left shiny, can evoke a camellian like illusion, a shape shifter quality that can suddenly surprise one by their prescence...

Thanks for the add.
Like most I’m here for networking and camaraderie, domestic and abroad.
Feel free to post any recommendations on facilities accepting exhibition proposals.
Peruse my website. My associate in Berlin and NYC (oder24.com) has very nice galleries and specializes in international artists.
