About my artwork
Currently everything in transition. I do enjoy enjoying art and making it. I think creativity is over-rated and a genuine artist can still be completely absent from the contemporary orchestration of (high-art) being in gallery forms, exhibitions, etc... My artwork is likened to formalist or structuralism in art, often times focused on pop and surrealist aesthetics. I believe the creative perspective and one's viewpoint of art and what it is; makes us more human and real than the unreal. Art is a personal experience that is explored through others. I love art.
Artists I like
Réne Margritte, Takayuki Fujimoto, Franz Kline, Ilya Kabakov, Henri Mattisse, Rubens, VanGogh,
Interests
illustration, the bible, my phone, cinema
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
Citywide exhibits that promote international art in relation to its locality. Next stop, ArtBasel/anywhere!

RL Arthur, I like the drawings, but they're busy, a little like Rodin's "Gates of Hell."  Looking at any drawing I see a bunch of drawings.  Maybe if you took them apart and developed the piece individually, they would have even more impact.

Best,

Chuck Dunbar

Lovin your new drawings. Thought I'd send a message to say hello and I have put some new pictures up so it's been so long to get back on here.

Biography

I was born into a humble beginning, growing up in a small town in Iowa, USA. Often the windows to our classroom sessions provided more company than the lectures of my educators. This would only fuel my desire for nature and the mind of creative works, with daydreams and a curiosity that many artists find themselves wrapped into their thoughts. Shy and socially inept, I would often make myself as an observer of life, fascinated with its constant movement and growth.

If you like photos and online journals, Blogger offers a huge meandering of strange, dark and beautiful variety. Sellers and poster-art models to conceptual or landscape painters.
