If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
a contemporary fine art painter living in Derbyshire, England.
About my artwork
My work explores the relationship between myself and the landscape that I live in. My paintings are not a picture postcard view of the landscape but they are more concerned with conveying a sense of place. Through colour, texture and gestural brushtrokes my aim is to give a snapshot of my experiences of the landscape.
Artists I like
Ian McKeever, Michael Porter, John Virtue, Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly, Peter Doig, Michael Raedecker, Anselm Kieffer, Howard Hodgkin and many many more
I am oviously intersted in art, other interests are walking, spending quality time with my family, reading and music
