I am...
Mark Greyland is an artist, musician, animator and the author of Stringbreaker's notebook, a guitar technique manual. He also wrote a series of articles for NZ Musician Magazine called Alt Guitar Techniques, featuring material from a guitar book in progress called "One String at a Time" which presents guitar playing from the ground up. The core of the images uses geometric patterns based on a wide range of traditions. Mark has synesthesia and much of his work is dedicated to the blending of sensory stimuli as interpreted through still graphics, music and animation. Mark's work has been displayed at ComicCon 2013 in San Diego and in local galleries using the giclee printing process to maintain the highest possible color fidelity to the originals. Mark's background as an Network Administrator has made him deeply aware of the needs of digital technology in art and music. Mark is an ISTQB Certified Software tester and has tested projects for companies in the US and overseas..

Synesthesia presented as poetry/free verse

That is no problem, successive approximation can simulate infinity, despite it already present in the this world of tables and trousers. Using words to create art…

Geofractals, synesthesia and sacred geometry

To call a circle, a square or a cross sacred in and of itself is a misuse of language: the perception and reverence for that which is holy cannot be accomplished outside the temple of the mind. I am not calling humans the sole receptacle for spiritual awareness; rather I am saying that through the act of consciousness perceiving the universe it casts its own light on what is perceived. So the perception of the sacred through the observation of geometric forms is both a behavior and a quality…

a geofractal tutorial from 2008!

Wow. This is a link to a tutorial for the gimp photo-imaging application which involves simple geometric transformations on fractal-generated images and is calling them geofractals. This is very cool, but I feel this is…
