If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
About my artwork
Marianne Lipschitz Jørgensen´s artistic foundation is an intelligent and theoretical approach to a project orientated investigation of the transformation aesthetics of her work. The artistic expression and the means she uses are minimal. Her interest is to explores the most fundamental elements of drawings and their potentials. By dissecting drawings down to their smallest units, a dot, the artist is left with the possibility to define a line or a space depending on how those units are combined and repeated. I indicates a few systems, yet at the same time she lets them start their own disintegration - or maybe they are assembled, depending on how you read the drawings! Marianne L. Jørgensen's geometric idiom and formal linearity not only creates the basis for structural logic in her works, it is also the condition for chaotic disorder to be able to develop. She thus focuses attention on geometric order and its disintegration as a process, a repetitive transformation, where logical form and clarity transcends its own limits to form a new kind of order.
