For more than ten years I have been working in Iceland each year. Especially for in situ works I have discovered grass and moss. Thos came about work such FLEUROP,
GREEN SQUARE and SCHACH. Created out of a landscape in constant change they represent unique moments in time.
The loneliness and tranquillity, the power of nature and the beauty and barenness of the landscape with its exceptional mountain formations inspire my work as minimalistic comments thereupon.
Besides this body of work, the series LICHTBILD.IS combine landscape photography and painting accentuating the hidden peculiarities of each place

Margret thank you for your words of encouragement on my Gravity Painting Series, much appreciated I am currently making a new series of small and large scale paintings entitled "Painting Light". Your Land works are very interesting in the patterns you achieve also there is a sense of time incorporated into these elemental works. All best wishes in all your future endeavors
Daniel.

Dear Margret
I really enjoyed seeing your photos here. Many new pieces. I really like the bird nests. They are so lovely. like ancient art and like modern art. things are slowly gathering here. Eight artists work arrived recently (i think we will have more than twenty by the time this is all organized). Will this be the first time your work is shown in America? I think it will be for most of the artists. I am applying to many more shows and hoping that we can create a traveling exhibit out of this!
I am well, although we are having our kitchen redone and it is really awful nd dusty and loud just now. But we will have fantastic kitchen when it is done!
Happy easter to you! Thank you for your kind letter.
many hugs
gabi
