If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Conceptual, Digital, Photography
I am conceptual digital artist/photographer.
About my artwork
I photograph unique details found in the urban landscape of Los Angeles. The images I discover are found on the sidewalks that we walk on daily and that otherwise go unnoticed. The images are abstract interpretations of the micro-reality that surrounds us all.
It was in November 2003 when I walked on a sidewalk in Hollywood and took my first picture of a curb detail. Soon after that I found myself consumed by the desire to find more of these curious sidewalk appearances. I do not use Photoshop and artificial lighting. I often return to the same spot and take the same photograph at different times of the day to ensure that I have chosen the most appropriate lighting.
My original photo-conception and the 5 photo series seen on my website: www.ludmil.org were officially copyrighted in 2005 at the Copyright Department at the National Library of US Congres

i really like the detailed shots! looking at things we often miss is something i am akin to in my own work and was the basis for my degree show this year. If only we would 'slow' down and take the time to 'look' jan x
