About my artwork
The issue of my personal identity as an artist is controversial to me. I have been looking and finding parallel ways to express my internal fluctuations and bursts. A visual art, since I can remember, is the genre that has always stroked me as most appealing, according to my individual sensory, receptive and expressive needs.

Photography has been for me the first step in to a recognized visual art education within one of the most traditional approaches, which is photojournalism; therefore, my brush was the camera, my canvas was the street. Through the years of education and direct experience in the field of visual arts, I come to consider photography simply as a supporting tool/medium in the process of the creation of an art piece.

I combine different media according to the core concept/idea or vice-versa, I found inspiration in the mechanical process of mixing different media. I still cherish the pleasure in the process of an old-fashioned produced image and I have an infinite respect and admiration for the masters of traditional photography such as Irving Pen, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Mapplethorpe along with the Bauhaus masters.

Often I find inspiration through the observation of organic forms. Lately I have been implementing the concept of organic themes in to the process of my work; Emphasizing the dramatic impact of natural elements on humanity either through the devastating action of a hurricane or the slow deterioration of architectural structures after years of exposure to the elements. Ultimately I consider old and abandoned architectures as some of the most expiring work of art on behalf of nature.

To make that happen we seek your help, as participating artists, as volunteers or both.

We will have gatherings in order to… Continue
