If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
an artistic & storytelling photographer based in the Baltimore/DC area. I began developing B&W images in college 20 years ago, and for the past 3 years have pursued serious artistic works. These include everything from casual to self-portraits to landscapes to model portfolios to fine art. I love working with models who enjoy the artistic process and using their modeling as an artistic expression of themselves.
About my artwork
I seek to create pieces that engage the viewer with the setting, subject and composition that allow them to enter into and interpret the image for themselves. I do a lot of outdoor & environmental figure images, and have begun to do more "fashion, in unexpected places" images. I am completing a 2-year side portfolio where I asked models to use a common element in a storytelling image and I would interpret their idea. (Some are posted below.)
Artists I like
Many! Those who create beautiful & engaging images that I can't take my eyes off!
Photography, people, rock climbing, rock climbing & photography (I recently shot a model on an 11,000 foot-high summit!), music (play keyboard, drums and marimba), my friends and family.
