If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Video
I am...
an artist and writer
About my artwork
One critic described my work as following the tradition of northern european angst with a hint of British mysticism - which I guess is as good a description as any.

Basically I stare at a blank canvas and try to discover what's hiding in there.
Artists I like
Durer, Crannach, Brughel, Bosch, Vermeer, Dela Franceso, Da Vinci, Rubelev, Turner, Munch, Scheile, Picasso, Shiraku, Richter, Csontvary, Zravi and others (known and unknown and too numerous to mention) who've searched for the ghost in the machine..
Interests
The usual range of marginal activities. Listening to obscure Norwegian rock bands, reading poetry and watching paint dry.
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
Munch at the Tate Modern

Better late than never. Also found your comment very pertinent. It appears over the last 6 years since your comment, that nothing has changed. In fact things have continued in that same direction (which is no surprise). It also appears one has to move in certain circles or cliques in order to be taken on board by the Art Establishment and Gallery Circuits etc. This comes all the way down to the bottom of the heap, with even local Arts, Galleries, Spaces and Venues also being run or controlled by the same local cliques, always the same few people getting their nose in first on any new venture or local funding. It's a very sad state of affairs. Exclusive and divisive.

PS: Hope you are well and still making art. Sometimes, you just have to do what you do, just for yourself.

Best regards.
