About my artwork
My earliest inspirations I was finding in human nature (people's mind state, emotions). I reflected that in series of monumental paintings and drawings, mainly figurative ones. As time went forward, I began to work more abstract and minimal. I concentrated myself on LINES and the structures they create. The total effect was usually a calm, monochromatic surface.
Similar approach to painting I have in making animation film, regardless of its technique. But one of most charming techniques, I find “direct animation”- a handmade d-i-y film. “Lines vertical, Lines Horizontal” is a tribute to Norman McLaren’s abstract animations, also based on lines.
Next to the image (colour, form and movement) I am also interested in SOUND, which is the subject of my current research: the suggestiveness of sound, its correlation with space, with and without visual stimuli.
Izolda, Thanks a million for being here. I really enjoyed looking at all of your work. Loved the videos and figure drawings especially. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Again thanks. Chuck Ott
