If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
born in 1965 in a place called Saarijärvi in the middle of Finland. Currently I live in a city called Tampere working in a tampere art Museum and as an artist.
I began to paint when I was about twenty after a one crucial trip to different european art museums. After that experiment my interest for painting grew.
After my graduating in 1992 from the cultural studies and arts at the University of Joensuu I started to paint regularly.
As an artist I consider myself as a D.I.Y artist and a self-teaching painter, because art is never ending process for me. I believe very strongly that every artist has their own individual world to show. So do I.
I´m kind of outsider art maker who is never institutionalized, because I ´ll paint what I want, not that what is on the “art world” mainstream whatever.
My paintings are a curious mix of the eastern motifs and the modern western style. Very cultural and still very natural by nature.
Creativity is a spiritual, yet not religious experience for me. It´s a little bit like meditation. It is one way to respond to the questions of life.
About my artwork
For me, personally, to paint is like to breath; natural, effortless and free. For me all the great art today express something quite different from what words can express. When the paintig flows, the painter and the painted are the same.
My paintings are total worlds of their own, nothing more or less and very true in their own universe. In that universe my mental images transforms into graphic form
You could learn more about me on my web-side, but everything is in French now!
Our Friend who made it with us will add anything in English, when he comes back from his holidays. I am also writer and the last book, an art-book I made with my husband about our work, is for a part translated in English. I will do my presentation on my profile.
Can you write me on my email, please?
I thank you that you chose me for your Friend. I am very interested to see more of your work and to communicate with you. The problem is, I am French and my English is very poor. German is better!
I wait for a sign from you, if you are not afraid about the limits of my langage. But perhaps you speak German?
If you want, you can write me on my mail.
I wait of your message
