Contemporary Art and Architecture in Bad Gastein

Bad Gastein is not necessarily known for contemporary art. The spa town in the Austrian Alps is famous for its healing source, Belle Époque buildings, and the waterfall that spectacularly runs right through the center of the city.

New art center opens in Donetsk, Ukraine with Cai Guo-Qiang solo exhibition

Last week I was invited to a trip to Donetsk, Ukraine to attend the opening of an exhibition with two site-specific works by Cai Guo-Qiang. Izolyatsia is a new art center in the industrial city of Donetsk, Ukraine. Cai Guo-Qiang's show is titled 1040M Underground. It's his first solo exhibition in Ukraine. Hello Heinrich, i have been wanting to make it to basel for sometime now as i need to see the beyeler foundation outside of the catalogues. I am sure that it is a very exciting and dynamic city to be in. thank you for keeping the world up to date with art happenings everywhere. looks like a fun job :)
