If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
About my artwork
Rarely do I willingly speak of my paintings. What I see is not necessarily the same as you see. The paintings should only be seen in the viewer’s own eyes. However, in my last solo exhibition during the fall in Milan, organized by Camaver Kunsthaus, an Italian asked why the people in the paintings are always blind. The answer is simple, although people may see physically, it does not make them look mentally. Unfortunately, most people are blind.

Hans Andre’s comments about his paintings

" The painting, The Charm, made in 2015, originated in the bourgeois highly “discreet” charm and these people’s dominance and self-satisfaction but also lack of self-awareness.

Sure, there are risks, some groups are particularly vulnerable and exposed, but you still have to take the plunge.…

The importance of painting

New York Arts Magazine, NY Arts, recently published a post from Hans Andre where he talks about his paintings.

"I do not really like to talk about my painting.

However, just to paint because it is beautiful or aesthetically, I do not find it meaningful.

I’m always looking for different layers in my paintings, ie. different ways for the viewer to see them on.

Ideally is if the viewer over time can see the other…

The Illusion

A series of three, almost as a triptych. I do not like to talk about my paintings, they should only be seen in the eyes of the beholder.

However, a few comments. In “The Dance “some got associations with an auctioneer or  smokestacks in NYC. In “The Process”, a pumping heart and in “The Departure” either to Auschwitz-Birkenau or a woman's womb ....…
