If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
I am interested in what Boris Groys has written in one of his recent books, ART POWER (2008, The MIT Press, Cambridge, Massachusetts, London, England):
"The death of God means that there is no power in the world that could be perceived as being infinitely more powerful than any other."
About my artwork
My work explores the concepts of power, politics, history, identity and death through irony and humour.
I am interested in how they influence beliefs and perceptions by altering and subverting them.
From here derives the desire to further explore the need for uncertainty and the metaphysical loneliness of the human being, addressing such issues as solitude, amnesia, memory, suppression, doubt and the sublime.
Artists I like
Luc Tuymans, IRWIN, Dan Perjovschi, Santiago Sierra, Wilhelm Sasnal, Adrian Ghenie and Mircea Cantor.
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
