About my artwork
My paintings and drawings are predominately abstract. The deliberate choice of colour plays an important role, this acrylic base expresses mood and emotion. Varnish is poured to enhance some areas and produces a rich, contoured surface. I use surface in two distinct ways, sometimes in combination. The first for an unplanned ink drawing of organic shapes which appear to travel across the surface. The second method incorporates the use of different media added to the wet varnish, allowing the work to erupt and change in surprising ways. The combination of control and spontaneity is crucial, as in life. Creating a vision of the imagination, the sub-conscious and memory that results from the interaction between these two forces.
Artists I like
Beatriz Milhazes, Gustav Klimt, Hundertwasser, Rob Ryan, Chris Ofili, Graeme Todd, Mark Rothko,...

I work as a free artist with the experience of more than 25 years, to develop art and design solutions for real estate, landscape, interieurs. I have many-sided interests.
