Fest I Nova 2010 International Festival of Contemporary Art
Contemporary art in the western world develops in a rapid and innovative way. Georgia has for decades been isolated from these cultural processes and has since recently started its reintegration into the western cultural environment. Thus, it is of utmost importance for Georgia to actively engage in cultural collaboration processes within the region, as well as on a global scale.
International festival for contemporary art – Fest i Nova was created mutually by the contemporary art center Art Villa Garikula and the Foundation for the Revival and Development of Cultural Heritage of Shida Kartli Region with the aim of facilitating exchange and collaboration between Georgian and international artists.
Fest I Nova was held for the first time in the year 2009 (August 5th-October 25th) in village Akhalkalaki of Shida Kartli region and hosted artists from Georgia, France, Austria, Holland, USA and Germany.
Objective of Fest I Nova is to facilitate joint artistic production of Georgian and foreign artists utilizing innovative approaches to art.

Hi Eka, thanks for having me add as a friend!
I loved your page with this vertical image full of pedestrians and cyclists coming back (home?). It's almost cinema, is an incredible movement and is mainly pure poetry.
