If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Painting
I am...
extremely focused on how music and dreams intertwine with my art-making process.
About my artwork
Pointillism is my forte. I have practiced classical pointillism for years and have developed a style of modified pointillism that is uniquely mine and contemporary. I use musical rhythms to keep a steady beat for my dabbing on the canvas. I currently prefer acrylic paints and paint one color at a time over the whole canvas before switching to a different color. I use the color theories of pointillism and focus on complimentary color interaction.
Artists I like
Chuck Close, Mark Rothko, Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollack, George Seurat, Paul Signac
Interests
I love the deserts of Arizona and the southwest, traveling, camping, gardening, playing with my dogs, music, interior design, and DIY projects
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
Ansel Adams, Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix, AZ
Dave Neuman, Xanadu Gallery, Scottsdale, AZ
Centre of the artworld:
New York, my studio, online

Max Eberle Wins With Portrait of Mother Teresa

Take a few moments to read my fascinating interview with Max Eberle following his recent win. It gives a delightful glimpse into the mind of a pointillist painter.

The mountain against the warm sky is probably the most defined of your works. You give a lovely impression of a sunset?? and a brilliant portrayal of perspective. Your trees on the mountain also have a realist feel. Well done for creating such depth with dots
