I am...
Daylight Magazine is a non-profit photography publication produced by two young artists, Michael Itkoff and Taj Forer. Since the first print edition in 2004 the themed issues have covered a wide array of contemporary social/economic/political issues such as nuclear technology, agriculture and global commodities. In addition, we have focused on geopolitical hot-beds like Iraq and Israel/Palestine, in each case envisioning our efforts as parallel to mainstream media coverage. Through extensive research we sift through the existing visual discourse on a theme and pull together a collective depiction that is at once cohesive and nuanced.

In addition to our printed publication Daylight also releases monthly multimedia podcasts and features a daily blog with exhibition and book reviews. Daylight Magazine is available on newsstands throughout the world and has been featured by CNN, The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times, The Associated Press, Utne Reader, American PHOTO, Source: The Photographic Review, Beautiful Decay, and PDN (Photo District News).
