Charlesworth, Lewandowski & Mann have developed a practice that, through a mixed discipline process, seeks to provide an ongoing commentary upon contemporary models of heroism whilst investigating the social, political and historical backdrops that such figures dwell in. From figures of art historical importance like Robert Smithson to more potent and commonly held figures such as Scott of the Antarctic and Earnest Shackleton. Charlesworth, Lewandowski & Mann position themselves within historical frameworks at times through elaborate implication and in others heavy handed reference.
