currently working on a couple of large projects for future exhibitions. Will be working in residence in California for the month of august with Eric Wright for a group exhibition curated by Doug Harvey entitled: 'Aspects of Mel's Hole: Artists respond to a paranormal land event occuring in radio space'. This work will contribute towards a solo/collaborative exhibition at Aspex, Portsmouth, with Eric Wright for April-june 2009 as winners of Emergency3 in 2007.
About my artwork
I've been exhibiting over 2 decades in numerous shows in UK and internationally. I also have a collaborative practice with Eric Wright, an American artist whos primarily a painter, but together we have both broadened our interests and ability to make larger more complex installations. Together we work in large series, using collected material, research trips, panoramic paintings. My personnel work centers around sexuality, anthropology, landscape. I work with hair; both in line drawing and painting with my own ground down. Currently scratching away on an animated film with sound contributed by the multi-talented Stephen O'Malley (SUNN0))), Burning Witch, Gravetemple)
