If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Installation, Photography, Video
an Australian photomedia artist experimenting with photography, stencil art and video to inspire shifting, transitory images and installations that provide a place of connection between the body and the natural, spiritual and virtual world that we inhabit.
About my artwork
With photography as the basis for my work, I am able to explore specific moments in time with a sense of reality whilst invoking multidimensional environments through a variety of techniques and media.
My photographs are often manipulated and reconstructed by cutting, layering and rebuilding the image with stencils, dark room techniques as well as stop motion video.
This integration of film, stenciling and digital media enables me to push, play and experiment with the parameters of the photographic medium.
Low-fidelity equipment and cameras are used to create my the images and installations. This aesthetic, suggested through the medium and technique itself, is used as a metaphor for the development, exposure and fragility of human life.
