I am...: an artist, painting and illustrating sceneries including land and seascapes .

About my artwork: I began painting around 50 years ago... drawing as well... I love doing land and seascapes ~ rural scenery with mountains and lots of brilliant sunsetting skies.. a stormy sea now and then, along with a thunderstorm across the Plains~ and my mood is set!!!

God's creation amazes me and I like to try to copy or record it through my brush strokes and share them with others... :)

I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren ~! AND ONE MORE ON THE WAY :)))I like to travel cross country soaking in the sites and trying to put them down on canvas and paper.This year I took a plane to be with my daughters as one gave birth. Quite a trip but now I am home again, painting and online~

BEWARE OF SELLING THROUGH ARTWANTED.COM~ I JUST CAUGHT THEM HAVING SOLD MY WORK WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME OR PAYING MY COMMISSION!! THEY NOW SAY IT WAS A 'MISTAKE' BUT THE ATTY GENERAL IS LOOKING INTO IT.. I HAVENT DELETED MY ACCT AS OF YET SINCE THAT IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL STOP SELLING ANY OF ANY ARTISTS WORKS... AT LEAST BY BEING LISTED, CUSTOMERS CAN CONTACT ME, WHICH WAS HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT MY ART BEING STOLEN!!!!

Ave Hurley Illustrations

It is Sunday June 22. My computer is needing a new hard drive that I will start to install later on. I am too tired right now. I have been backing up my art files and saving them to a memory card. The last time this happened I lost over a 1000 art files, some were recovered but many were lost. I hope not to make that mistake again.

It will be Thanksgiving on Thursday in the USA- a day to give thanks to GOD FOR ALL THE GOOD HE DOES FOR US and for helping us through all our difficult times enabling us to survive them.

These passed years have been difficult, but by HIS help I am still here and painting my pictures to honor HIS creation works but mostly to honor HIM~
