If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
I was born and had my under graduation in Architecture in India. I did my Masters in Fine Arts From Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. I am currently working at my studio at Hackney Wick. I will be exhibiting at Mother Studio Gallery in April.
About my artwork
The point of departure of my art practice is to reinvent the socio-political role of art and its agencies within contemporary art institutions. Art agencies, in 21st century, have to be speculative rather than formative. Artistic spaces (canvas, academic institution, aesthetic theories, art history, exhibition space and so on) as pure site of imagination must provide the community the pure Utopia (Zizek defines pure Utopia as the inner most urge for survival, the only way out) in order to reinvent an imaginative process through which social and political changes are possible.
Writing and research is the most important part of my artistic process. I develop strategies and diagrams, which I share with the community through the act of speech and writing.
Artists I like
Joseph Beuyes, Bas Jan Eder and Martin Creed.
reading, writing, talking and laughing.
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
Antony Mccall's exhibition at Serpentine is the one i liked recently
