If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Painting, Sculpture
I am...
Interested in meeting artists and learning new techniques. I'm relaxed, I try my best to be happy and make others as well. I haven't been inspired to create a new painting in a couple months however I sculpt regularly. Usually my paintings jump out of me but not since my last relationship. I wouldn't say I'm depressed but I am blocked.
About my artwork
I'm rarely straight forward with the meanings of my art. Sometimes I put potatoe skins, sand, and deodorant in my paintings for texture, otherwise I'd like it to speak for itself and hear others opinions about it.
Artists I like
Claes Oldenburg, David Woof, Nancy Graves, Jackson Pollock, Toulouse Lautrec, Don Reitz and many more.
Hiking, swimming, art, scubadiving, nature and freedom.
Centre of the artworld:
nowhere and everywhere

jar 5 has a nice inlet. So do 9,10 and11. I like the way some of the work is extremely open and some have openings

I like both the sharp angles and the rotund forms in your sculptures. Some of the lines also look like liquid from inside the container that has dried many years ago. They look amazing

Amazing sculpture and ceramics. Great choice of decoraion; lines, almost like blood or a nutrient filled fluids to enhance the fertile appearance of the sculpted vases and shapes

Yeah I just graduated around 5 months ago. I was a pretty terrible student really. I didn't really like to participate in anything and I avoided my fellow students. I used to go into the studio in the evening. Now that I'm a graduate working from home I sort of regret being so anti-social! You should really take advantage of the situation you are in now. Have you thought about doing some print-making? I have just joined a print studio with around 200 other printers so I wont be alone for much longer. Printmaking is good fun. With painting there is that slow trudge and lots of fiddling about and you know exactly what it looks like all the time. With printmaking there is that little surprise when you see your image come out of the press for the first time. Love it. Is the burning man festival in Arizona? Have you been? I'd love to go. I wish you every luck.

Have a look a look at my blog if you like, Its got loads more work on it!
