About my artwork
My art captures a feeling and challenges the viewer’s eye and mind, as you get lost in a three-dimensional world of emotion, beauty and tale. I use deep contrasts and intense colors and choose the human body especially female nudes as the center of my inspiration. My paintings speak to the issues of physical, emotional and spiritual constraints.
I start with a photo, normally one that I take. That way, I can capture different moments and later on use as a springboard to the art work. I abstract and simplify the figures. I find when I refer to a photo at the beginning; I am able to paint freely.
Centre of the artworld:
nowhere and everywhere
