About my artwork
I create a universe that is on the limits of the rational and irrational. It is a world populated by anthropomorphic, hybrid creatures with a dimension of ambiguity and decorated with the disturbing beauty and the delicate monstrosity that resembles us. These evoke memories of a disturbing strangeness, of ‘das unheimliche’, ‘d’une inquiétante étrangeté’.
A universe where one isn’t the other but where the other isn’t any more what one once believed it was. The atmosphere I look for in my work is one that is not part of our daily life but one of a world just next to ours, parallel to ours yet just not reachable.
Artists I like
Rebecca Horn
Thierry de cordier
Damien Jalet
David Altmejd
Monica Cook
Frida kahlo
Hieronymus Bosch
Watching people and their behavior and the expression of emotions in any form and art form; really if I can just get a kick out of it

I am impressed by your sculptures, the size, form, darkness in some of them, the pain/desire, death/life..... Sioux

Its an important step and decision that you have taken to develop your sculpture from it's beginning as commodity baroque to a more raw sculpture. The human body is a substantial part in your work, its seems now is going to refine itself to a more existential dimension. Eventually, you started from mythology as fictional framework and now the time is ripe that the work itself so far could deconstruct it's narrative patterns to a more abstract and subtle coexistence with the spaces that surround it.
