About my artwork
From conception to construction, my work is inspired by systems, structure and process. Though chance and evolution are embraced by the construction process, my work echoes a network of complex systems, itself creating a system of materials
Using concrete, wood and naturally resonant material is significant as it conveys a deep and harmonic connection to our physical surroundings. My aim is to create a visual language that describes our relationship to the many vast and intricate structures that surround us.
I am fascinated by the world, its substance, structure and complexity. The way in which we utilise modes of scientific and mathematical analysis to explain its makeup, expanding perceptions in order to find our place within it.
