hol is a generative conceptual audiovisual project created by the multimedia artist Henrique Roscoe. All the compositions have a correspondence between audio and video, and they are both played live, in real time performances. The project is based on the idea of synesthesia. Colors, shapes and movements of each element are synchronized with notes, harmonies and rhythm. Both music and image have the same importance and they are frequently generated together as the artist plays a note on the keyboard.
ligalingha is an audiovisual project composed by Fabiano Fonseca and Vj 1mpar (Henrique Roscoe). Its aim is to seek the most perfect integration between sound and image. Each element has its representation in the audio both audio (pitch, length, volume) and video (shape, color, size).
Development of interactive video installations using sensors, motion recognition, Arduino and specific programming.
Using programs like vvvv, Processing and Max / Msp, the artist develops interactive installations, where the public can take part, modifying the work according to their position in space or using custom interfaces.
In 2009 created, in partnership with the artist, researcher and designer Sonia Labouriau, the Narval collective, which seeks to create new possibilities in contemporary art through expansions on the field of creation with an emphasis on digital generative exploration technology, without losing sight of analog possibilities.
The use of sensors and programming combined with the innovative development of materials with a strong conceptual basis generates works where interactivity is always present.
Interactive instruments and interfaces
Creation and programming of instruments and interactive interfaces.
Using everyday objects like a candy box, food recipients, beer cans, etc., builds interactive tools for playing on live performances. These objects were chosen because, besides being easily found and affordable, combine a jovial and sometimes ironic approach, different from the function for which they were originally developed.
Content production and live performances, mixing images in sync with the sound. During the presentations, the artist creates abstract narratives based on rhythm, themes, shapes and colors.
Abstract shapes and vector drawings are the basis of the work. In the creation of his videos, the artist has great influence of Russian Constructivism and use colors and movements to transmit the feelings suggested by the forms.
