Can I have my shirt back?

Me pisstaking Kippenberger pisstaking Picasso's pants - an a rat.
My childhood hero was a wild, boozing, fun-loving, ladies-man from Foley, Alabama; the quarterback for the American football team, the Oakland Raiders. "The autumn wind is a pirate ..." Despite being a small, slow, and weak child, I pictured myself a Raider.

Was it the autumn wind that blew them to LA???
Did you follow them there? Do you follow them now?
The Raiders moved to LA at about the same time I was discovering that I was too slow and too weak to continue to play ball myself. A five-foot tall, hundred pound, broken-hearted loser, I found solace in the high-school art room, and started making stupid teenage paintings.

I was entirely divorced from the game for almost twenty years, but when they moved back to Oakland, nostalgia got a hold of me, and I started following them again.

When I was a kid, they rarely lost, but I could cry when they did; now they lose all the time, and I enjoy it anyway.
They moved back to Oakland? I am so out out of the loop I never noticed. I'm convinced that they only ever left Oakland so that you could become an artist! But if they left LA ...why did they leave LA ?...who could want to?
no wonder they now lose all the time.

Why did they leave LA? To wreck my art career; turn me into a couch potato.
I suspected as much but didn't like to say anything. Just as well they failed. Just as well they are as bad at career wrecking as they are at their game. But when they were in LA they were close to the best.
I wish more people were playing the guessing game.
the words art and career have lesser then nothing in common. they both live in parallel universes.

Like Damien and Hirst 48073?
i left my career to be an artist. i thought the artists were the free people. how silly of me...

i was really surprised to see that a lot of artists seem to play this same silly game.

unless off course the art itself is about this game.

This game? But you're playing aren't you? Or do you mean the career game? Ha! I think we've been here before 48073!!
