PROJECT: MAPPING - Where do you live? How does our environment define us?

Take a photograph of your local area, neighbourhood or environment - a photograph, which in your mind describes the landscape, city, country or continent that you live in. Whether a small detail from your immediate surroundings, a snapshot of a famous landmark, or a portrait of a friend, lover, stranger - we want to see it!

We will gather your submissions and create an online gallery of work which will feature on the featured page of the site and on 4Art showcase. Be sure to write your name, website, email and where you live alongside your photograph/artwork.

We are accepting submissions from 25 February - 22 March 2013. Send all images in digital format to Petra Polic petrapolic@artreview.com by 3pm GMT on the 22nd.

Hi !

I'm a "retired" Photographer (IF there is such a thing).......but I'm not a professional anymore......just a "starving" Digital Photo-Artist. I've had 5 group shows in NOHO Art District, in North Hollywood, California and am presently showing at the Pentagon in Washington (part of the Veteran's Art Program) that's right "T H E PENTAGON".....tell me I'm not psyched ! I work in a digital surrealism following the works of Digital Alchemy of 3 wonderfully talented Photo-Artists. i work from photographs & Line drawings (usually done in Ink or Acrylics) then scanned and added into Photoshop. From there it's anybody's guess where it will end up, but it will be printed on a EPSON Wide Format printer on different substrates such as Oriental Paper, Canvas etc. I use different methods of printing also to produce unique high quality prints which is then applied to different substrates such as old silkscreen master pulls (wooden frames with stretched silk fiber) and then acrylic, oil paint and/or ink will be affixed over the print.......I call this works "Digi-fuZion  !
