I use to listen to the sound of silence when I'm creating , mostly of the time..

but sometimes happen that I listen to music by Zamphir, Charlie Chaplin, Chris Rea, Frank Sinatra, Frank Zappa, Queen, Caruso, Pavarotti, ELO, Slave...etc..etc... well...:) all depends of what kind of art I'm in and what kind of mood I'm too..:)

If I'm trying to think about what happens next, I find I can't listen to music, it influences me too much. If i'm at a 'non-thinking' stage... all kinds of stuff including drum & bass, jazz, alt/post/punk/rock, musique concrete...

At the moment I seem to be listening to a lot of piano music, usually either John Cage or Einojuhani Rautavaara...
