:: Call for papers and performances ::
Contributions are invited from practitioners and academics for papers and performances that contextualise current networked performance themes and issues both historically and across the spectrum of different types of networks, explore the wealth of performance opportunities offered by the internet and give a sample of future directions for networked performance.
The full call can be found online at:

Remote Encounters, a two-day international conference with performance evening, aims to explore the use of networks as a means to enhance or create a wide variety of performance arts. How do networks as a site for performance provide opportunities for us as artists and performers? In particular how can we remotely collaborate, merge geographically separate places and times, reconfigure the space of performance and the relationship between artist and audience?

Hello All.
I have only just come across this group.
I am interested to see what happens on here, what debates and dialogue come about
Here is a thought;
Will Art Restoration/Art Restorers of the future be required to repair corrupted media files; jpegs/avi.video files etc? As well as cleaning or touching up paint and or minimising damage, degradation and deterioration of supports such as paper, wood and canvas etc? How will they best determine how to archive, store and exhibit digital works and also how will this affect the authenticity of digital/technological arts ie what would be seen as say the original jpeg as opposed to a copy? How would this affect art markets?
Nice to meet you all
Best of wishes
Askush.

Surrealism, art, design and new technologies, anticipate the emergence of a bio-synthetic future.
While my first works aimed at the representation of fantastic surrealist worlds, of which some were inspired by my dreams, Currently, and even since some time, while staying in a surrealist universe, I work in a more uncluttered style, contemporary.
My current approach, in for purpose to evoke the emergence of a future bio-synthetic.
This pictorial approach, opens me of new possibilities in the presentation of my artistic concepts.I invite you to discover my work on my page (in English with some videos), and on my site (in French):
